Terms of service

Copperline, the operations platform for plumbing and electrical service companies.

Last updated 2 September 2026

Who these terms are with

Copperline is software operated by Business Growth Insight Ltd (company number 15370177), registered at 260 South Lane, New Malden, London KT3 5RN. In these terms "we" and "us" mean that company, and "you" means the business that has opened a Copperline account.

These terms are between us and that business. They are not between us and the customers of that business: if you booked a plumber who happens to use Copperline, your agreement is with the plumber. The privacy policy explains that split in more detail, and it matters for who you ask about your data.

What the service is

Copperline takes the work a service company does and keeps it in one place: enquiries, jobs, schedules, the conversation on site, certificates, invoices and payments. Engineers record what happened by speaking into the app, and the system turns that into records the office can check.

It assists, it does not decide. Where the system reads something out of what an engineer said, it proposes the result and asks somebody to agree before it takes effect on a customer's appointment, invoice or certificate. You are responsible for what you approve.

Your account

WhatsApp, email and text

Copperline can send and receive messages on your behalf, through your own WhatsApp Business account, your own email server or address, and phone numbers allocated to you.

Your WhatsApp account stays yours. You authorise Copperline against it and we hold delegated access to send and receive on your behalf. You keep the number, the account and the assets; Meta bills you for messaging, not us; and you can withdraw that access at any time, which stops us using it immediately.

What you pay

Subscription charges, and how they are calculated, are as shown when you sign up or as separately agreed in writing. Card payments are handled by Stripe; card numbers never reach us.

Charges made by a third party to you directly, such as Meta's charges for WhatsApp conversations or a card processor's fees on money you take, are between you and them.

Your data

The records you put into Copperline are yours. We process them to run the service for you, under the privacy policy, and we do not sell them.

You can ask for a copy, or ask us to delete an account, at any time. How to do that, and what happens to a customer's record when they ask you rather than us, is set out at data deletion.

Availability, and what we do not promise

We work to keep Copperline available and we take backups, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free. It is a tool used by people doing skilled work, and it does not replace their judgement.

In particular: a certificate, an invoice or a price produced with the help of this product is your document. Check it before you issue it. We are not liable for the consequences of one that was wrong and was approved anyway.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under the law of England and Wales. Subject to that, our total liability in any twelve month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period.

Ending it

You can stop using Copperline at any time and cancel from the next billing period. We may suspend or end an account that is being used unlawfully, that is putting the service or other customers at risk, or that has not paid.

When an account ends we delete or return your data as described in the privacy policy. Ask before you leave if you want an export.

Changes, and the law that applies

We may change these terms. If a change materially affects you we will tell you before it takes effect, and continuing to use the product after that is acceptance of it.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
